Temporary workers FAQ line

When do I get paid?

Connections Employment Agency operates a weekly payroll, processing pay for the previous week's work. Cleared funds are available in your account by Friday, providing we have received your signed/authorised paper/electronic timesheet by 10am Monday following the week worked.

What is the procedure for filling in a timesheet?

Complete your timesheet daily, record overtime* separately and deduct time taken for lunch breaks.

Calculate total hours worked to the nearest quarter hour. Ensure your timesheet is completed correctly including: week commencing date, your name, the name of the company where you are working, total hours worked and the client's signature/authorisation.

IMPORTANT: Your timesheet must be signed/authorised by the company in order for you to be paid.

* Overtime must be agreed in advance with Connections Employment Agency’s’ Temporaries Manager, not all organisations operate an overtime time scheme and each will vary depending on where you are working.

NB: Clients may refuse to pay overtime where additional hours have not been agreed in advance.

If a temporary worker does not work a full year, then his or her holiday entitlement is prorated (e.g. a part-time temporary worker working three days per week would get 3/5ths, which is 16.8 days (3/5*28).
