Legal Cashier (Fixed Term Contract) required for position based in Old Trafford
The successful candidate would be on a fixed term contract for a minimum period of 15 weeks commencing on Monday 27th February 2012.
The role involves ensuring that all financial transactions are processed in accordance with the Solicitors' Accounts Rules and the firm's internal procedures including billing for all departments.
The main duties of the role include:
Processing and posting of financial transactions on both the client and office account of client matter ledgers.
· Filing of invoices and posting slips.
· Preparation of daily banking and cheques.
· The issuing of petty cash.
· The administration of the purchase ledger for both matter related and nominal expenses.
· Processing of nominal invoices.
· Providing information to and assistance for the credit controller.
· Providing information and assistance to the archivists.
· Dealing with queries from other staff and third parties including suppliers and clients.
· Monitoring of on line bank software for receipts.
· Preparation of payments and transfers on the on line software.
· Bank reconciliations.
· The administration and reconciliation of petty cash.
· Supplier statement reconciliation
· Reconciliation of VAT on counsels fee notes.
· The processing of bank transfers.
· VAT administration and returns.
· Processing of the firm's credit card.
· Financial management reporting as required.
· The control of designated client deposit accounts.
The successful candidate will have:
· Experience in a similar Cashier role which MUST be in a legal environment (minimum 2 - 3 years)
· The ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
Package : £18000 - £19500
Hours : 7 hours (hours between 8 – 6)
Holidays : To be confirmed
